The most common questions

and our answers

No. School support is a statutory benefit and is usually fully covered by the funding body (e.g. the Youth Welfare Office, Social Welfare Office under SGB VIII or SGB IX). There are no costs for families.

The approval process is handled by the funding body; we have no influence over it. But our side is fast. We usually find a suitable support person within a few days, at the latest within a week.

There are different types of support needs. A pedagogical or social qualification is often preferred if the child’s individual needs require it. Career changers can also work as school support workers if they have the necessary aptitude and motivation.

Pay varies depending on the school support worker’s qualifications and experience. In general, an hourly wage between €18 (school support) and €25 (pedagogical or medical specialist) is possible. In addition, you can benefit from our other employer benefits.
